I’m a County Durham based freelance documentary photographer. Since graduating from University of Westminster in 1996 I’ve worked and travelled widely. From Outer Mongolia to County Durham, rural and nomadic communities are the focus of my work.

As well as working on personal projects, I am a founding member of arts collective Wideyed, and along with Lucy Carolan & Richard Glynn have produced work for international photography festivals and arts residencies. I also develop and deliver participatory photography projects with schools and other community groups.

Awards include Independent on Sunday Travel Photographer, and NEPN/Side Gallery Development Bursary which was used to develop Shoot!

Currently, Louise is one of 5 photographers selected for the DEVELOP Award, a professional development programme organised by NEPN and produced in collaboration with photography curator and mentor Marc Prüst.
